Form Letters of drafting Correspondence
“A form letter is a standardised letter used by an enterprise to answer all correspondence of a similar and recurring nature, and which is used to give the same information to a number of correspondents”.

Frequently, the message or information to be conveyed in letters is of such a stereotyped or standardised nature and these have to be drafted so many times each day, that 'Forms' or cards printed with the standardised massage are used for the purpose instead of separately drafted or composed letters. These are known as 'Form' letters. Since the main message is already printed on these forms or cards, and only the date, name and address of the recipient, etc., have to be filled in, the task of preparing these form letters can be conveniently used for : acknowledgment letters, debit collection letters, price enquiries, requests for delivery dates, reminder letters, etc.
